Marine Depot Refractometer?

How are you guys Calibrating the Refractometer? Are you using RO/DI water to Calibrate it, Distilled Water or 53.0s Calibration fluid? What works better for this type of Refractometer?

Hello Tank2379,

Thanks for the post, you normally want to use a pure source of water to calibrate a refractometer, whether it be RO/DI or Distilled it just has to be pure. I have used the American Marine Pinpoint Salinity Calibration Fluid to fine tune my refractometer American Marine has said that their solution is at 35ppt
I will normally fine tune to that number when I use their calibration solution.
