Three years ago when I set up my first fowlr tank the lfs also sent me home with a two-part bottle of Tropical Science Marine-Max. My current supply has just run out and was wondering if anyone new the value of this product. To this day the one guy at the local lfs still swears by the product especially when adding anything new to the tank. I still have the first two fish I purchased (Majestic Angel & White Cheek Tang), and as most people still learning the hobby a little nervous about changing a routine that appears to be working, but in reality it might not be making any real difference.
 
I've never used it or anything like it, and don't really have anything to say about whether it is useful or not, but few people seem to use it that I am aware of. I personally wouldn't use it. Anyone have comments on it?
