Thinking of doing the 60 gallon cube with overflow. Small sump underneath, and a fuge, and skimmer. Skimmer might be a hang on the back or small footprint Bubble magus. Any other suggestions? Like sand, rock, lighting?

I recently set up a 60 cube for my ponies and they love it! I have a berlin sump underneath with a mag 7 pump. No skimmer yet but will get one soon. I am running a 6 bulb t5 fixture with 3 10k bulbs and 3 actinic, its pretty blue but the ponies do not like extremely bright light and my zoas look great :inlove: For the live rock, i made it very cavey and med-height in the tank, the cube allows alot of space for creativity. Its island style so there is a good 6 inches + between the rock and the glass for space and flow. All in all, im alot happier than the standard tank i had them in initially. At feeding time I turn the pumps off and they cruise all over the tank checking things out. Highly recommend the cube!

susan92368, do you have any pics of the tank showing the overflow and how its plumbed? I'm having difficulty finding images so I can plan my stand accordingly, thanks.

I have the 60g (24x24x24) and it came with the center overflow, two pre drilled holes in the back (drain and return). I came straight out from the drain, 'T' then down to the sump, left the top of the 'T' open for air, the return is just using a Marineland 1800 from the sump to the tank. I have had it this way since Nov 09, all is well and good, I love the cube.
