Marineland frameless cube or other?

I have a 60g Marineland RR frameless cube that I have yet to hook up. Marineland will not warranty it unless it's on one of their stands. I have heard of sloppy silicone seams with microbubbles and the bottom of the tanks cracking. The stand they use is open on the top and only supports the aquarium along the edge. Should I trust this setup or should I go with a different company? I really like the 24"x24" cube footprint. The only other cubes like this I have seen are Deep Blue and Glass Cages acrylic. The other option would be a custom job. Any advice?

With the volume of tanks marineland makes, it would be very possible for a few to have problems. I personally would not hesitate to use the tank that you have. I personally have a glass cages 120 glass tank and that tank is built super solid. I would definitely use the marineland if it was what I had. I love the cubes too.

If you google how to raise calcium you get 1000,000,000,000 hits.
If you google Marineland stand collapses or falls down, apart etc... you get nothing.
This should make you feel safer.
I have a 30X30 Marineland rimeless cube and it is solid and the seams are very well done and look great after 2 years. I have a custome stand though.

I have had a Marineland 60 cube sitting on a stand I built for the past 18 months without a problem. I understand why they can not warranty a tank that is not on their stand, but believe that stand I built is much better and stronger than the ones they sell. I am not worried about the warranty anyways.

Did you build your stand with an open top like the ventura stands marineland sells?

I just got the non-rr one and I trust my red oak stand much more than anything they sell.

On the advice of others l looked the seams over using a flashlight and did not see bubbles so I believe my tank will hold up.

I built mine solid and used a piece of foam insulation

I built mine solid and used a piece of foam insulation under the tank. Rule is: No frame around bottom, you need insulation foam.

I returned 2 93 cube tanks due to bad silicone. I water tested both of them and all of the seams had a ton of bubbles in them after putting in water. I didn't trust it so I went with a custom miracles tank.

Do you need to plug the drain holes to water test or did you just fill the display area?

Seams are fine, didn't like the stand, so I built my own. Marineland says no padding or foam under the tank, plain, smooth surface. Been up for almost 4 months, no complaints so far.
