MarinePure Ceramic Biomedia Plate as Skimmer Stand

Does anyone use the MarinePure plate as a skimmer stand? Is there any downside to use it as a stand? Thanks

Is the marine pure block flat enough on all sides for the skimmer to stay on. I thought 1 side was like a dome type designed.

Bad idea, it will crumble. It's way too soft.

I made my stand from egg crate and zip ties and put a block under it.

Do you a picture of it? Trying to get an idea. I zip tied some egg crates but its not too stable if try to move the skimmer. Thank you for the help.

I guess if the FP of the skimmer is small enough it would be ok imo but most skimmer FP are to big

I used 1/4" starboard to make a stand. Super glued strips for legs.

Egg create is cheaper but I already had starboard.

I've heard the ceramic media will crumble so I didn't use that.
