Marjorie's Fairy Wrasse ..... will come

Tanaka, ill let him know you would like a pair. Im sure he will have no problems sending you some. Most are destined in Japan and Hong Kong anyway :) Ive read they were in Palau as well. Brian caught his much deeper then 50 meters is what he told me. 50 meters is diveable on regular air. Are there any collectors in Palau now?

Actually Brian shipped a pair of Earle's to me about a year ago. I think he shipped at least one other pair, but I do not know to whom.

Yes, LiveAquaria has three. A pair and a single male. Cost will be about $1200 of the pair.

snorvich: How's your johnsoni's doing? I found mine dead a couple of weeks ago. Perfectly healthy and then just found half his body one morning?

So far, so good. He has become mildly aggressive and flashes some of the other fairy and flasher wrasses in that tank. If I had it to do over, I would have put him in my other tank without the flame wrasses. In my larger tank, I see more interesting behaviors than in my smaller tank. No real aggression, YET.

I feed Rod's food almost entirely with occasional zooplankton. Everyone eats well but that is not to say they are getting a nutritionally complete diet. . My concern with all my fairy and flashers is adequate nutrition; I am not sure anyone can really say what all is needed.

Also, I keep my tanks slightly on the coolish side (78/79 F).

Glad he is still doing well. Mine was always hanging out with female flames.

I feed mine mysis (large and small) Formula 1 and 2, a "green" food mixture, brine, Spectrum pellets (I let them soak in Vitachem and Selcon) a variety of flake foods such as OSI, HBH, veggie flakes, cyclopezee, Arctic pods, also some squid and clams. Some of them also eat small pieces of Nori floating in the tank.

huskerreef,

I am glad to see pics and hear that you got a pair fianally. It looks healthy and lively. It is one of the rarest fairies available in market at present.

Mine are still doing very well along with more than ten other Cirrhilabrus members. Now the Japanese Temminck's Fairy, male is the boss.
