well, at first glance i'd say he got a hold of a marking pen when you weren't looking and he's doing his impression of groucho marx but that prolly isn't really true.

i just looked at mine and he has no such marking or even a hint of anything like that.

will be following to see what others say (i'm sure it'll be more useful that i am).

It looks like a bug of some type thatbis attached to his eye by a small thread. The bug also has corkscrew like appendages that have newly showed up.

I see it now. Looks like a parasitic copepod or isopod. You might be able to remove it with tweezers or a freshwater bath.

I tried removing it with tweezers but It is stuck on there good.

I'm not to comfortable with freshwater bath.
