For anyone that's interested i think i found them...they are the water based paint markers by sharpie. The oil ones will work too but you need to apply alcohol to remove.
I use Stabilo pencils in white and black; they wipe off easily and I also use them to write notes on the side of the tank, like when I last added something like iodine or Acropower. The two different colors are useful depending on the light where I'm marking/drawing.
The water based sharpie paint marker works. You can wipe over it without removing it. It takes water and pressure to remove. I use them on tanks all the time. Dry erase markers rub off too easy for me.
