All I can say is that the tank looks really different after the last two days of sand removal and water changes. I stopped by YR yesterday to visit with my friend John and see what the store looks like now that he sold his 300 display. Since I was there. I also picked up 50 snails, some new aminos, even a nice new frag. It been awhile since I have actually got a new acro :eek1:

Prodibio and food. The diatoms have been around from before I was dosing anything. I have read that some report diatoms from dosing vodka. There is something else adding to their source. If this does not work, I will be sending some to a friend to have them lab tested.

I will turn off all the pumps and scoop out some sand and layer of diatoms. Since there are so many types of diatoms, this may be the only way to properly source what's fueling them.
