Mark's 180 Starfire upgrade

Thanks Ryan. The regal is doing well. The jocs still pester her, but she hangs out up near my frag rack for extra protection. She eats everyday and she has even ventured more into the reef.

Absolutely love your tank!!

Not sure if you mentioned this earlier, but has your regal picked on any of your corals? Any secrets to keeping him from nipping?

Thanks!

Thank You :)

At this point, I think she is still too scared to nip on any corals; that is the jocs job :D but really, I'm not too worried as I have just got used to fish nipping at corals. PE is way overated when you can have awesome fish :bounce3:

Awesome tank Mark....how about that world cup draw! We might make it out of our round only to face Germany or Ghana.....let's hope!

Whats up Mr. Bailey :)

I was pretty excited with the draw. I was just hoping that we did not end up with the Ivory Coast as I do not think our defenders could handle Drogba.

Yeah but that can't handle Essien either! It will be fun to watch no less!

I am still trying to settle on a tank manufacturer and I changed the dimensions again... decided I wanted the tank a little longer so now I am thinking 84x30x30. If I go glass (my preference) I will go with Lee-Mar. If I go acrylic I got a pretty good price from Envisions out of Oregon. In all your expertis do you think that if I go 30" tall I can get away with my existing 250w HQI's? I think the chalices will be better off but I will have to keep all of my SPS up high???

Yep, my friend tfp has a 30" tall and he runs 250's. James at Envisions is top notch. It I did a big tank, I would go James. I would also go a little deeper :D

The majority of it is a dry aragonite product by natures ocean. Its their #4 product. I have seen pleanty of tanks with this side grain especially since some of us like plenty of flow. I am planning on replacing my two 6055's with another pair of 6105's :eek1:

Mark,

is this product a larger grain size than CaribSea Dry Aragonite Special Grade Reef Sand ? I like the size of it.

thanks.

Very nice Mark. I love seeing nice big colonies. Microcladus?

That was my guess too Dan!

Sorry, but was this tongue sticking out the answer, "yes"??? I'm curious cause I have a piece that looks just like this I got from Chris(143Gadgets). He didn't have an ID on it at the time and referred to it as a "Gadgets Acro" but from your picture it looks about identical to mine?

Please let me know when you can, thanks! ;)

Yes, that is the Upscales microclaudos. From my understanding, Chris just put his name on a wild piece. They may be similar, but they are not the same. Good luck Dave :)
