Mark's 180 Starfire upgrade

Thanks Mark, appreciate it! As you say... still a nice coral anyway...

No problem Dave; anytime. The collecting part of the hobby has really diminished over the last couple of years. The overnaming of corals to create monitary hype has ruined the hobby for alot of people, but for others, they are just getting sucked in.

Yeah, I hear ya on the overnaming and monetary hype... There are many chalice pieces I'd like to try but I won't touch em' at the prices they command right now. Just crazy....

As far as Acro's go, I just like to get what looks good! Some have names, some don't but overall I just like to get what looks good (to me) and not worry who's name is attached to it!~

 Mia's or Baby's? I love that specific coral but I can't for the life of me keep favias. Ian gave me a favia a while ago and it's barely alive.

Dan, thats the baby breath in the front and the pandora in the back. For me, the key is to keep them on the sides or at least in lower light until they get large enough. I think I have a nice shot of the Mia's, but not right now...

I'm pretty excited today. The tank is looking good and I am finally picking up an external flash for the D90. Its just a sb600, but I am really hoping that it will give me enough extra light so I can trick the camera into the f/stop where I really want it to go :p

Mark,

Would a wrasse be able to bury itself in that sand?

Yep. Its not solid and it moves around just fine when you blow it wth a turkey baster. Its definitely larger than most, but since I am planning on adding two more tunzes, I think I will need it :D

That stuff looks good in your hands and in the bucket.....looking forward to seeing what it looks like in the tank!

Hey how about CSUS making it to the tourny! It sounds like they gave UCLA a good game! About &*^@% time!

Its great to see the college we both played for start representing how good of soccer we have in Sac town.

Hit me up when you come back to town. I'd be happy to have you over to drool on the hardwood :wildone:

I will take you up on that if I ever make it up that way again....been about 10 years....I wouldn't mind some of Ezequiel's Carnintas!
