Mark's 180 Starfire upgrade

Mark,
gorgeous chalice!!! what settings on ur camera did you have when you get this shot?

mike

Thanks :)

I have no idea on the settings. I always shoot corals in manual mode with a f/stop around 20. ISO is usually 300-400, but that is about it. Sorry to be of no use. I just try to post pics. I wish I really knew how to take them :(

I need to practice more :) I have macro lens but i cant get true colors..I use WB and shoot in RAW

WB is the key. When I got my d90, I was extremely frustrated that I could not get my expodisc to read my tank for some reason. Everytime I pay a little bit more in photography, I get more and more dissapointed because I "expect" the new device to be perfect. I take a lot of shots. I only post 1/10th of the ones I process ;)

Mark - sorry, we came and went to Sac. Ran out of time to stop by - was going to PM you but with all the running around that we were doing, didn't get around to it. We might be back again next year so maybe then. My kids had a great time at Apple Hill though. ;)

Sorry to hear about the regal - any signs of recovery? (crossing fingers)

No problem, Glad you guys had a good time in apple hill. Its a great place just to get away. Happy Holidays.

The Regal has passed. The jocs claimed another victim :sad2:
:sad1: Sorry for the loss, she was a beauty. BTW the last two picts were fantastic Mark. The detail is super sharp and the colors are outstanding (as ususal).
