Love this shot!

Thanks Dave. I use a nikon D90 and a couple different lenses, but for most of the corals, I use the 105mm f/2.8.

Hopefully next week I will be able to pull the trigger on a new lens :eek1:

 Love the coloring on this piece, kinda looks like a ice frosting. Mark, with CFM around the corner I looking to add the following colors: blue, blue and white, light purple (kinda like the Utimate's PM), yellow and maybe something pink. Any suggestions what I should keep my eye out for? I'm going to start bugging John (Your Reef) pretty soon because I know that he always attends.

Thanks Dan. The ecorals unknown is definitely a cool piece when its right. Its just another one of those old school pieces that I have been lucky enough to grow into a colony. My advice for CFM is to have a good time and if you see something you like, get it ;) Just keep in mind that not everyone plays by the same rules when selling corals "oh yeah, that's captive raised" or "yep, thats xyz coral" when it was bought last week at the wholesaler :p

That photo is like one of those hidden object pictures. Your Z. rostratum is so dark that it looks like a shadow obstructing the A. dussumier. Does your urchin knock things over. Does it grow big fast? Cool coloration on him.

Thanks Dan, The urchin has been with me pre-AEFW so its been awhile. It has knocked over a couple frags, but it just taught me to use more glue :p

On another note, I ordered a new lens today, so now I just need to get a computer to process them on

I think the sand bed will take some time to repair, be patient...Have you thought about those cool under the sand urchins we spoke about a while back. I got one from DD and it is doing its thing...of course my sand bed is not spotless. I have some weird cyano, very little but still there. I figure it is from the crap that my pipes are putting out. It is slowly receding as I get the water situation figured out.

Alicia, can you send me a link again? I think I might have another order coming soon :) Thanks

What you get, Mr. Baller???

I chickened out on the 24-70mm 2.8 and got the Nikon Zoom W/A-Telephoto AF-S Zoom Nikkor 28-70mm f/2.8D ED-IF AF Lens from B&H. Yes its 4mm less so I will lose some on the edges, but for $700 less, I figured it was worth last years model. I also like the fact that it is completely intenal focusing and does not extend out

Yep, You've been to my house. I really cant afford to shoot the tank from across the room which is pushing a FTS with the 50mm, so this one should be great for shotting fish, coral grouping shots and most importantly, Emma :)

Thanks Ryan. I agree that what the Cquarium is colored up right, the mixrure of colors are stunning. The problem is that too many people can not keep it colored up as teh colony gets larger.
