Marks on a clown...ID please?

Does anyone have any idea's what this would be..I noticed to the day before last...it dosnt seem to be ich...it almost looks like a heater burn (I dont run a sump so my heater is in my display) My only other idea is that I just added another clown that is bigger than this one...could that be some "battle wounds"?

How long have you owned the fish?

That would appear to be excess mucus .. often associated with brooklynella (aka clown fish disease).

Beyond that white spot, have you observed any deviation in the fishes normal behavior?

Does this fish continue to be active, swimming around the tank...or is it staying in a single place (hiding)?

Is the fish eating? Is the fish breathing rapidly or flaring its gills?

Have you been able to observe the feces...do they appear normal or are they white an stringy?

Continue to keep a close eye and hopefully it is just a wound that will resolve on its own with any intervention.

Brook. It's pretty nasty stuff, so treatment needs to be aggressive. Formalin baths are the best treatment. 1ml of formalin in 1 gallon of SW, aerate heavily, leave fish in for 45 minutes to an hour...no longer than an hour tops. Repeat every other day, usually a week will do the trick.
