Marksreef 93G Rimless Cube Build

Sorry for the late reply

Sorry for the late reply

The tank is 30X30X24
The tank is stabilizing and the hair algae faze is just about all cleared up.
Phosphates and Nitrates are undetectable but I believe some is still leaching from the rock but my fat happy lawnmower Blenny is keeping up on anything that grows.
It's time to start stocking some S.P.S. and will make the switch from B ionic to Kalk soon.

Maturing nicely. Time to STOCK it up

Looking great. I'm in the process of setting up a 93. I'm moving my established 4yo 75 reef over to it. I have the stand built and will be plumbing it this week and then the big day will take place. Gulp.

I'm also setting up a 93 rimless, maybe we should start a club? I went with the corner overflow as it's going in a corner anyway. I too have a tunze osmolator and I'm not entirely happy with the pump, but I believe there's an adapter available to be able to run any pump with a plug. How are you liking the spectrapure reactor? And the sk181?

Thanks.
The Spectrapure is excellent and works great as does the Skimz.
I'm also running the avast top off now not the tunze. The run was too long.

I am also setting up a 93 cube. I want in on the 93 club. I am new to this forum but not to reefing. Picking up the tank this weekend. Starting construction on the stand ASAP. I am building a larger stand to house all the equipment without being too crowded. I will also have room on the stand for a frag tank. I ordered my sump from Lifereef with a refugium, skimmer and calcium reactor. Ordering the Neptune Apex controller soon so I can figure out the layout under the stand. Thinking of 2 250w halides and T5s for actinics. Am I heading in the right direction for a tank packed with sps? My last tank was very basic as far as fancy equipment.

Just found this tread today. My LFS was having a sale on both the 45g and the 93g ($134 and $330). I picked up the 45g because the 93g was too big and heavy to carry. Now I am regretting getting the 45g. They do delivery for an extra charge. Now I wonder if I should buy the 93 and let them pick up the 45 while they are here? Hmm....

Tough call and twice the tank. What sold me is the bigger size for more or bigger fish, the amount of space under it because I have everything under there and I even built the stand a little bigger and a lot taller then stock.
The lighting is mostly going to be the same as I believe there is only a 6 inchX 6inch difference.
On the smaller scale, less maintenance.

Marks reef . How do u like the 2 mp40s in the 93 cube? I have a 93 marineland cube also and debating wether to get another mp40 or not to go along with some replacement parts I'm ordering from ecotech. They just dropped the price

I just checked you build, Vapour1ze. Lookin Good.

Thank You! :)

Question for the both of you, how do you like the MP40 on the tank? Where is it positioned? Is one enough? I have two Jebao RW-8s and have some good movement, but am curious about the MP, I've never ran one.

I do like the mp40's. Theres nothing to not like. I have them on the back wall, almost half way down and 1/4 in from the outside wall.
I think an mp10 might do it better but then again I don't know.
If they had a mp25, I'd go for that but they don't so I went bigger and have it dialed down.
I have my stack high so I need 2- (1 on each side.)
Depending on your stack you might be able to get away with 1 in the middle and at least 1/4 the way down.

Here's how mine looks, my two Jebao's are on the top outer corners, one on the back pane, and one on the left pane, facing towards each other. One on wave mode, and one on constant mode. I like the random flow pattern, just not sure if it's too little or too much, not many corals yet so hard to tell flow with just rock... Do you have a pic / video of yours with the MP40(s) running?

Well I went ahead and ordered my 2nd mp40wes and it came in today. I will put it in tomorrow and try to figure out the best spot considering my aquascape. I will post pictures tomorrow. Also I need to figure out how to do the anti sync
