I added a maroon to my tank with an existing BTA a couple days now but the maroon has not start hosting the BTA yet. Can anyone tell me when does the maroon start to host the BTA. thanks in advance.

Again, there is no "set time" for these guys to hook up. In other words... its a test on "patience." :)

Some get aquainted immediately; some may take weeks or even months; some may never host.

Good luck!

i was lucky. the minute my maroons saw my bta, they went right for it. of course the minute was about 121( 2 hours) :D

how big is your tank? has your maroon swam by the BTA? seen it?

I'd expect a maroon to host a BTA as soon as they notice it's there...it's a natural host, after all.

im with slakker. if they see it, it should be hosting it.

how big is the maroon compared to the BTA? reason I ask is, the maroons are pretty rough on the BTA's when they first host. i don't know if they are so excited or what. my maroons killed my first bta. well they bothered it so much, it crawled into a crevice and died. let us know how it goes!!
