maroon clown eating anemone

ok iv had the same clownfish and anemone for around 4 yrs, about a month ago my bta was very spread out with long tentacles kinda like a lta, then i noticed one day my clown fish pulled a big hunk off the nem and ate it, i figured i wasnt feeding him enough so i trippled up on the food for him. now the nem looks like it is half the size it used to be and doesnt have the lta look . resembles more of a bubble tip, after watching the clown for several days he seems to be abusing the thing, sucking and biting on it constantly. anyone no the reason for this? iv went to another site and all i got was ... yea maroons are known to do this and they do damage if in the mood, hoping for a better answer here, maybe a solution if any

Update

I believe i was right about the lack of feeding. after regular feedings they both seem to be back to there normal self. :fish2:

I had a duncan near my maroon's area, & one day she started doing the same thing; going up to it & biting off pieces but never ate them. I moved the duncan and it seems a lot happier!
