Maroon clown, good experience?

Emporer angels are susceptible to color loss and head and lateral line erosion. When they make the transition from juvi to adult they dont always show the magnificent colors they do in the wild.

i dont know much about clowns but if i were you i would get crackin on a bigger tank for the angel at six inches it has just about outgrown the 75 good luck on the clown

FWIW when I wanted maroons I knew their rep, and that did not stop me, I just took precautions, as in wearing gloves or my shiny stainless dive watch(she'd bite at her reflection, and not me, but it took a little getting used to her charging at it and not flinching!LOL)
They are pretty fish, and unlike my clarki's she was only mean to me, not my fish.
My Clarki's got mean w/ all fish when they matured/spawned, and that I would not tolerate.
Most clowns are going to show some kind of aggression or be territorial, especially as they mature and spawn.

I have to say, no fish drew blood from me more than my last maroon, she was just downright mean...to me!

A friend of mine used to work at a LFS that had a 46G bowfront-from-hell that housed a huge, fiendishly aggressive female maroon (who not only drew blood, but actually targeted sensitive spots like the webbing between your fingers or the underside of your arm) and a large stand of fire coral. It was contest between getting mauled by the maroon, or trying to dodge her and running straight into the fire coral...all they were missing was a nice big long-spined urchin.

I hath a tanke withe a gold stripe morone clone fish salefin bangghi cardnale fish 2 cromiseis and a wachmin goby my meron clon fish rely is not egresith I think it is better if you hath bigger fish then it in the acwareum

my favorite clown. they do grow big as people have said. i got one that was about 1.5". its almost 3.5" now and i've had it about a year. she's pretty aggressive, very protective of her anemone. if i place any corals near her territory she'll headbutt them away
