I have a beautiful little maroon clown, that's been in my 55gal FOWLR for about a year. She's about 3in long, but I swear she isn't getting bigger. I know maroon clowns are supposed to get big, but does it take them a long time?
Other question,
Right now, her tank mates are a Snowflake moray (~1ft), and a 2in Picasso trigger that I just added the past week to be the final, or near final fish I'm going to have. However, I was thinking it would be nice, if possible, to have a mate for her since clowns look oh so nice in pairs. I haven't had any experience with adding a new clown when there's an established one, and maroons are the most aggressive of clowns, so I have no idea if this would be possible or not. If it is possible, what's the best way to go about it, other than getting the smallest maroon clown I can find.
Another problem that miiiiiiiight come up, is I'm a bit worried that my snowflake, even though he's never bothered the fish, might find a small sleeping clownfish just a tad too tempting to leave alone. Anyone know what the odds of a well fed Snowflake wanting to munch on a clown are?
