maroon clown

does anyone else have a clown that attacks everytime you put your hand in the tank.?

I have 10+ year old maroons and I absolutely hate them. I can't do anything in the tank without being constantly attacked, often drawing blood. The female is the worst, but the male attacks too. If I didn't have them as long I would have got rid of them long ago.

my snowcasso's have started attacking me everytime i put my hand in the tank...

+1 to the maroons, they are mean! i had a pair a couple months ago and they were twice as bad as the snowcasso's.

glad i am not the only one thought i had a maniac clown he comes at me really hard trying to take my hand off.

Every clown fish I have ever owned has eventually done that.

The LFS guy I use here had a 5-6" maroon that someone gave him. It ended up in a bare tank all by itself after it kept attacking him. The LFS guy said, "No anemone for you!"

my darwin accy female actually jumped out of the water and hit me in the face. needless to say i was taken back a little. i have picked her up off the floor a few times trying to tag me. last time she was out for longer cause she landed in a hard to get spot.
almost dying kinda mellowed her out a bit.

At least you wouldn't need to actually put your net in the water to catch it! Do you have a badminton racket? You could knock her back in - it could be a fun game at parties.
