Hello, I have a ballsey Maroon clown that is living her Anemone. It been a while since I added fish.Today I added Bartlett Anthia and a Six Line Wrasse. Friend had problems with tank. The Clown seems to be very aggresive towards them, but does not hurt them "yet" is this the norm with this type of clown.
Do the new fish have to go?

Thanks,
Moochie

The maroons can be down right mean sometimes. Esp if they feel their "territory" is being invaded. Keep a close eye on them for a week or so and see if she starts to let up a little. If not, removing her or the new fish might be necissary but I doubt it will come to that.

you might remove her for a few days, then reintroduce her so that it's like setting up a new tank. sometimes that will work...if not, just float a tampon in there, since it sounds like shes PMSing.

even this didn't help

ahhahahah its like the "southern" fishtanks. YOu know the rednecks that have those plastic flamingos in the lawn...

This made me lol.:D Hopefully she lets up and gives them a chance to settle in. I've read that putting a mirror on one end of your tank can help to.

"McDonalds" few years ago when you bought a Big Mac they gave you Nemo..........I never gave it to the kids,,,,he's mine

lol good call on saving it. Bet you never thought that one day youd be wraping a piece of plastic around it and slowly lowering it into your fish tank. lol
Try some of the ideas mentioned above and hopefully everything works out ok for ya.

I had a mated pair of maroon clowns, MAN! The female got so big and I could not put any thing near her anemone ( 12" paramiter) because she would pick it up and throw it away where she pleased. The male got big to but he was not so agressive.

Tonight I tried to net her and put her in a separate tank, maybe change her. But you know how it is to change females" just kidding" Any way after two hours of trying to stalk her, she won. She knew I was in the area...

Plan B tommorrow
