maroon defends nem but wont call it home!?

not sure what to make of this, my maroon clownfish i thought was "warming" up to my H. magnifica anemone because she started to spend a lot of time around it. whenever i put my hands in the tank or another fish swims by it, shes quick to go on the attack to defend. however she has yet to actually swim in it or even touch it... weird...

its been going on about 4 days now....

some clowns just take a while to go into an anemone. it probably wants to go into the anemone but the clown still needs to get the slime coat.

she pulled a crazy ivan tonight, i came home from dinner and she was gettin freaky with a 2" across bubble tip. its funny to watch cause my clowns about 5" big. she keeps rammin it like its going to get bigger.

They do get stung in the beginning and need to get used to it. Once it's her hers, good luck, ever coming close with you hand to it again.

she already attacks me, even if im on the other end of the tank (7 feet away) she makes it a point to harass me and bite me asim doing my daily work!

one question, once she's paired with her anemone will she ever leave that anemone for another one? or is this a life pairing?

she might leave the anemone for another one. or she might go back and forth in both of them.

Ditto with patriots81. LFS has an old clown fish, she has her own anemone, that's not for sale. But when they get new anemones in that are for sale, she takes of, until they are sold and she goes back to hers.

I just got my maroons a frogspawn. Are they going to warm up to that like they would a bubbletip?

I don't know if the frogspawn could handle the clowns. They might injure the tissue of the frogspawn.
