Maroon / Gold Strip Maroon

I have this 6 year old Maroon Clown that I was told is a Gold Stripped Maroon, but the stripes are no longer goldish. So here is the question. Will a Maroon Clown breed with a GSM. If so are we talking that its possible, or sometimes works, or will they just hook up regardless. Though I have been lurking in the breeding forum for quite a while, this will be my first attempt at breeding.

I must comment since I don't talk (type) much in forums. After reading many of the threads about breeding, I gotta say that with all the information available here, I'm feeling good and confident about this first attempt.

Thanks Landlord. Patience is one thing I've got an abundance of. I've been growing pyhto, rotifers, and BBS for a couple of months just to make sure I can maintain foods for frys. I just did not want to buy 2 new clowns, when I already had 1.
