I Guess she could be. Guess no one else has any thought on it? That was my thought too. But when they are ready to lay eggs.. Do they not eat? And how long will she hold the eggs?

Anyone Else have any suggestions?

she should viratously be eatting if shes pregnent.

what about internal worms?? does she ever have white stringy poop?

I have a friend that actually had worms burst out of the belly area.

you wouldent need to QT

you need to get some meds (i like gel tek for internal parasites, its an orange gel) can even be found at petsmart

treat the food with it (let it soak for a few minutes)
do that for a week to 1 1/2 weeks

if she refuses to eat.. you may need to qt

The pictures makes it hard to say for sure but I believe she have some type of internal problem. It could be a blockage or she could be egg bound. Its not a good thing that she isn't eating. Try searching here on RC about treating her for internal parasites.

I agree it looks like some sort of internal problem but that does not look like it could be carying eggs the way the belly extends down not to the sides... I have never seen anything like that.

Almost looks like some type of blockage or maybe a tumor or internal parasite/worm. If this happened really quick and not over a period of time I would rule out tumor. I am no desease expert but the problem with a fish not eating is if it is internal it is hard to cure.

The Bump Extends outwards Not Down. I Have been looking and looking and can't find anything even close to what it could possibly be.

Just have to keep a close eye on her.
