I have an RBTA that was in my 20 gallon for about a year and has been in my 75 for about four months. I moved it when I tore down the 20 because I just didn't have time to maintain two tanks at once. The conditions in the 20 had gotten pretty bad, and the RBTA was definitely stressed (deflated, substantial color loss, etc.).
Once I got it into the 75, it started to steadily improve, but it hasn't changed much in the past few weeks and it isn't back to its original form. The coloration is still signficantly lacking, and it rarely inflates anywhere near fully. The water parameters are all very good (0 ammonia/nitrites/nitrates/phosphates, 140 alk, 420 ca, 1.025 sg, 8.1-8.3 pH, 78-80 degrees). I also feed the tank Marine Snow a few times a week and occasionally feed the anemone silversides or krill with Selecon.
I'm thinking that the pair of maroon clowns that host in it may be causing too much stress for it to continue recovering. Might it be a good idea for me to put them in a breeder net for a couple weeks and see if the anemone improves?
