MARS September 2007 Meeting

This month we're going to do something a little different this month. After the general Q&A we're going to bring the dividers down in the meeting room and hold two meetings. In one room we will be demonstrating how to set up a basic reef tank. In the other room we're going to have a panel of experienced aquarists answering questions about advance reef keeping topics. As usual, the raffle alone will make attending worth your time.

I have never been able to attend a meeting as of yet because I work an odd schedule :sad1: . Would my fiance be able to come in a get my membership card? If i still have on waiting for me I can not remember when I paid my dues. I believe she would enjoy the beginner reef demonstration as well.

Awesome she will enjoy it after seeing my tank start up she has wanted to start her own. Plus hopefully she can pick up my membership card and we can go pay a visit to John.

On second thought that is the night of her mothers re-wedding...

Are there events held on the weekends ever other than frag swaps because I have nothing to swap. I will never be able to make a meeting on a weekday evening and I would love to get to know some of you guys.

Come to the frag swap in Oct., if you don't have any frags, you can buy in for $15.00 and come away with several frags. It is also a good time to visit with other reefers and pick up pointers. Hope to see everyone on the 6th.

I believe I will be going to that it will be my first frag swap so I hope I can get someone to show me my way around.

I saw that and my fiance and I are both planning on attending.

Can membership be handled at the meeting or is it easier to do the money online, this will be my first meeting .

You need to register on the MARS web site first. Then you can pay your money at the meeting, receive your membership card and your MARS web site user name will be activated in a few days.

Correction - The MARS website said the meeting runs from 6:30 pm to 9 pm. That was an error. The meeting from from 7pm to 9:30 pm as usual.

My thanks to everyone that attended the tank setup split session. The participation and questions were excellent. I hope everyone was able to take away something that will help you with your aquarium setup or operation.
