Mass water exchange advice

So lets start this thread off with confession time. I've been running my marine setup for about 2yrs now iirc all the while using tap water conditioner - no rodi whatsoever. I am to the point over the last several months specifically that I can't manage the algae blooms and have tried several other things like reduce feeding, less light hrs, etc.

Fast forward to now and I'm setting up a new rodi and salt mix station. Parts are staring to trickle in from various sources - thanks mr brown UPS delivery persons.

So once I have things going Im wondering how woukd be the best way to go about getting the old stuff out without a constant dilution. I do have some options given i have a Fish Only tank. So should I just do small regular weekly 5% water changes and let it work itself over time, should i do a few large 50% changes or should I put all my stock in say a 44g brute drain everything and swap it all at once. I have 75g display n 40g (35g used) sump +3g in plumb. I can make up 50g salt in advance have another 3x 5g buckets + 50g rodi fresh ready to mix for 2hrs. And could make another 100 in the next 24h. So in reality if I go the whole system swap i could have my stock back in my DT with close to full running pwrheads and bring my sump back online in maybe 4hrs later give or take.

Thought is, what do you guys think would be best route?

Just maintain your same water change schedule... Dont assume your algae issues are from tap water either...
What are your nitrate and phosphate levels btw?

When I made the switch from tap to rodi on my then 20 year old 60 cube with softies and a few LPS I did about a 50% change the first time and then the next few at about 25%. I noticed a change in how things looked almost immediately, but I also used the opportunity to siphon gunk out of the sand so I'm sure that was a big part of the sudden reduction in algae and cyano issues.
