The pro is it is very energy efficient.
The cons are, it is easy to break the shaft which is ceramic, if you remove the cover at an angle it will break the shaft, a spare is included to help overcome this learning curve.
It needs frequent cleaning given the tight tolerances, about every 3-4 months it should be removed and the impeller removed from the shaft and everything cleaned to remove calcium deposits so it doesn't lock up.
It is not silent, it is about as loud as any air cooled pump of this volume.
To me the cons outweigh the pros, the only reason to get this pump is if you have a high cost for electricity, I can see the benefit at greater than 25c per khw, below that, the extra hassle outweighs the benefit.
