Lasted 3 years together, then a few days ago found my female dried.

Beautiful ORA premium snowflake clown. insanely beautiful. very nice personality as well. I am distraught.

question: what to do with the male? If i throw in another snowflake female, will it pair again? will it be fine alone? The thought that its waiting for the mate to come back is always on my mind :(

I'm confused. How does a male fish become the dominant female?

From Wikipedia: Only two clownfish, a male and a female, in a group reproduce through external fertilization. Clownfish are sequential hermaphrodites, meaning that they develop into males first, and when they mature, they become females. If the female clownfish is removed from the group, such as by death, one of the largest and most dominant males will become a female.
