Material between glass tank and plywood stand

What type of material is recommended to go between bottom of a glass tank and a plywood stand?

1/2 inch seems kinda thick imo. Micheals seals foam sheets about 14x 16 I use them when I build my tanks

No. It will melt. Maybe with a latex paint but not spray.

There is also a 1/4 version if the pink bothers you. Cover it with trim.

I assume rimless? If it has plastic trim you don't need, and shouldn't use, anything at all.
