Matt @ Aqualife, He's Back!

umm you want a 46 gallon set up? i may be selling my 46 gallon its 46 gallon with a 36" hamalton mh with stand and all. cant decide if i want a 24 nano or not. my appartments do not like the fact that i have a 46 on the second floor. i really want a 55 gallon long. but we will see what i get ;)
 
Wouldn't mind having the MH and the stand but I already have the tank. I just haven't filled it yet.
 
You must mean Matt Tozer. I used to work at Aqualife and was there when he left. I actually went to elementary school with the guy. Glad to see he's back though, he seemed to have the ability to set up anything he really wanted in Aqualife. The place has great potential they just need to decide on a system that works and quit changing things up. When I was there it was almost every week they would tear down and re set up new tanks.
 
Yeah....I've watched them redo the new frag tanks 3 times now. Kyle and the owner said it would be going this weekend. *keeping fingers crossed*. I've been dying to see it running and not empty.
 
Matt litterally saved my tank when i just got into the hobby, when he was at exotic. I was disappointed when he left exotic. But fish planet isnt much farther. I for one and sad to see he left there since i rarely hit the north side shops. Aqualife got a great guy hope they take good care of him.
 
stopped by aqualife today...it's been a while...i was inmpressed. frag tanks are redone, a couple new frag tanks set up. will have to keep this in the weekly fish store tour.
 
Yeah..I was wondering the same thing. It was funny, I don't know Thomas and I came in to bug Kyle and Dane was sitting there behind the counter with his Soccer ball sized knee. I was talking to him about my tank going up and Thomas asked "Are you online on RC?"
It was definately nice to meet someone from here in person.
Also met another member, Mark, as he helped me out with some RO to get my tank going. Me thinks M.A.R.S. is great and I can't wait to become a paid membership. You guys are already treating me like a long time member and I haven't joined yet!!! Can't wait till the frag swap!!!
 
i was in there around noon; we need to start wearing name tags in these places :) had my little girl (6) with me.
 
Yeah I have seen alot of changes there from Aaron to Kyle and they are really trying to compete with Your Reef i believe, which is a good thing.
 
kmp you brought in that old rock and drift wood didnt you? i think i remember you, i was sittin up at the regster talking to kyle and dane. that is too funny that we were all in there and didnt even know it lol. yeah i need to pay mars how much is it? i dont know how many meets i can make it to but i like it already.
 
stopped by yesterday. the frag tanks should be pretty sick when they're done. they changed their hours too, 11am-7pm 7 days a week. that should cater to every ones schedual. looking forward to my next trip up there.
 
TNT that's IF they ever get them done. I've been watching them work on them for a couple months now....redoing a couple times. But...they will get them done and it will be cool when they do.
 
I'm not that surprised to see Fish Planet scale down the SW section. I was in another one of our local favorite stores yesterday. They quit giving the MARS club discount. Said it was because they don't make any money on SW stock. Fresh is where the moneys at. Even with the hobby exploding, it's still tough for the LFS to make any money on Salt Water:confused:
 
nope, didn't bring in drift wood or rock. just took a leasurily stroll through...
 
Thomas....no, but they were up and running yesterday. Must have gotten them up late Saturday. They look great....sound like a toilet flushing....but not as loud as Kyle had thought they would. Can't wait to see the other two and and frags in them.
