First thing I wanted to do was waterproof the stand. Keep any water spills from maintenance, skimmer or anything else from getting on my floors this time around. I used 3/4 plywood for the bottom than I cut 1x3 to frame out the edges all the way around to act as a small wall. I screwed them all in with pocket screws then siliconed all the joints. I used a white waterproof silicone roofing paint to cover all of the wood. I know there are other options such as pond liners and such but I wanted it to be white and this seemed to work out well. The base of the stand will hold about 15 gallons or so of water need be.

I do plan on skinning it eventually. One of the reasons I chose the aluminum stand was so I could build/finish something that would match the furniture in our house. I wasn't a fan of most of the stands available. I also do some woodworking and have made a few pieces of furniture. Another little hobby of mine. That will probably be the last thing I do since the access is real convenient and the new equipment will look nice for a little while. I have a few ideas in mind.
Stand is coming along. Are you planning on a skin?

Nice I would cover that bottom with epoxy and put a drain in it to a pump in-case of water leak..When we had sump under the stand i lined the bottom with a Shower pan liner..
But looking great...

I like the drain to a pump idea. Have to think about how I could make that work. Thanks

If you run a controller you could have a float switch in there then have the pump to take the water back to the sump.if you use epoxy paint it will be non toxic and safe .. During a leak if you were away it would keep the floor dry and keep your return pumps from getting low... Of course it will only work with a smaller leak.

Plumbing coming together. Manifold for reactors done. Used 4 valves although I only have two reactors I plan in running at this time. Leaves some room for future expansion.
