Matt's 50lbs "Package"

I have to say, my experience has been much like everyone else's... Awesome! I ordered the 50lbs "Package" a week and a half ago and everything from the airport pick up (which I was a bit apprehensive about) to the quality and packaging of the live sand and live rock, has been a dream. It couldn't have gone smoother!

A few Gorila crabs have exited this world in the last few days, and we have a couple Pistol shrimp for sure... Will tighten up the aquascaping once Part 2 comes in.

Even Kahlan was very pleased...

I had been wanting to get some TBS rock for a while now, but was always skeptical of having it shipped and whether or not the rock I got would be like what I had seen in some of the other larger TBS orders on RC. From the minute I email Richard, my mind was set at ease. I think it took him a whole whopping 30-45 seconds to respond! I can't speak enough about the customer service! Ha.. He even urged me to slow down a bit and wait for my salt to cure properly...

Richard, I can't wait to get part 2 in! Thank you for everything.

Hey Matt, everything looks really good so far, can't wait to see part 2 also. When you get a chance tell us a little more about your tank setup. Thanks!

Like the rockwork and tank looks great. Been thinking of using his stuff for the 150 build. Looks like one more bump for me to do so. :-)

The biggest difference is I didn't plum everything back down through the basement, but kept it under the stand, which was new for me. The basement sump in the build thread was from a downgrade from a 150G so it was a bit of an over kill.

I also added a canopy, which I'm not altogether fond of on my rimless, but wanted to greatly eliminate some of the dust and dander (3 dogs) from going into the tank.

I also changed out the light fixture for a 1st gen Radion and have two 36in T5's next to it in the canopy. The Radion was rated a little short for the 36 inches and I thought the T5's would fill in some of the corners. I'm not sure if I will actually use them.

Plumbing is pretty much straight forward and straight down on up from sump.

Current Hardware:

Apex Controller
BRS 50ml Dosing Pump
Radion Light Fixture
x2 36in T5 Retro Kit
5G External Fuge
Reef Octopus Skimmer
Mag 12 Return Pump (dialed down) - Single 3/4 Return Pipe
Glass Holes 700gph Overflow Kit - 1.5 in Overflow Pipe
2nd Emergency 3/4 in Overflow Pipe
x2 250W Titanium (Blue Line) Heaters (one for redundancy)
29G Sump
GFO/Carbon in bags in-between the Sump Baffles

Here comes part two!

Fantastic job Matt, the rock work turned out fantastic, great job! I really like the Flower Anemone with green tentacles on the red sponge, nice piece. Impressed as usual Richard.

Thank you, the pictures really don't do any of it justice.

Just found a huge porcelain crab the size of an old school silver dollar! If I can get a good picture ill post it, he's pretty shy...
