Horizontal runs do not add much head. Vertical is where it comes from mostly. I believe the pump can do 12 feet or so in height but of course higher the run slower the pump.
The pump can handle 9ft of vertical head pressure. Long runs are complicated because you have more problems with getting the pump primed and all air purged out of the lines. The pump can have an air lock with long hose runs and it will require some patience to shake and tip the pump and purge the air out and get it going.
