Maxi jets on wave timer

Looking to get a wavetimer(either a cheaper one or a aquacontroller jr.), I have Sure flow maxi jets will they work? I thought no but I have been hearing both. If not will stock maxi jets work? Going to go 8 sec on/off


EDIT: Do the new Coralvue “High Seas” work on wave timers?

i used to run MJ1200 on a natural wave wavemaker with mods. Worked just fine...didn't like the size and eyesore of the maxijets so I just ponied up and got a vortech...if you can get one, do it

i too am looking to get a wavemaker for my MJ1200's with sureflow adapters. However, I've heard from some people that the MJ's motors aren't suited for constant on/off and that they tend to burn out faster this way. I haven't tried it yet though.

i did look into vortechs, so nice. Just got a new skimmer so its a maybe for the future.

heard the same thing but that they dont start up again well
