MaxiJet Mod - Quiet?

One of the things I love about my Tunze Stream is that it is totally silent. I was considering adding a modified MJ to compliment/replace the stream and was wondering if they are quiet.

So...all you MJ mod users out there: Are they quiet?

At first, it wasn't since I didn't build it right. I'm an assemble first, read later kindaguy. It didn't take long to figure it out though. my Mag5 return pump is louder.

The only time it is really loud tapping noise for me now is when my snails get in between the powerhead and glass
