Has anybody else tried these? WOW!!! Monstrous flow from the 900s. A DIY meeting idea?!? I've gotten really good at making the shrouds, think I have it down to under 5 min.! I have found that the new suregrip magnets at PA are the sleekest and nicest looking way to mount these pumps. By the way, if you're tired of those pesky suction cups, the suregrips are a little pricey but are a very nice design!

That looks pretty interesting. What exactly is it doing? It looks like the impeller is out in the open. What is the shroud made of?

I took some time and read the background on this mod series. Looks like it would make an excellent meeting project. I will present to club officers to see if there is any interest.

The shroud is made of 1.5 inch "electrical" (schedule 80) pvc. Basically, it's a poor man's tunze. An RC boat propeller hooked up to a maxijet pump.

Yes I have made that modification and I love it. It really does make a HUGE difference in flow and it was very easy to make.
