FWIW, I couldn't get Weld On to hold the propeller to the rigid plastic tubing.

No kidding, folks.

Weld-On 4 & 16 are specific adhesives for bonding specific materials. If you want to bond other items you can find charts on the web that will tell you what weld-on adhesive you need to bond certain items. Weld-On literally works by melting the bonding material together.

I was thinking that it was caustic enough to bond any plastic like material. After all, acrylic is quite tough compared to a toy boat propeller. I had no idea they are actually specifically designed

Well, it's just a matter of specific chemicals dissolving specific stuff... And of course the stuff has to be able to evaporate properly and allow the material to reharden at full strength...
