Yesterday i bought a Tridacna maxima, put it in my tank, and my cooperband chelmon started to pick on it so i had to move it to my sump under a 150 MH.
i have put it in a tapperware with a bed of coarse coral gravel, in order to avoid it to get attached on the floor of the sump.
Did anyone have a simmilar experience with a cooperband and a clam? Would it be possible for them to coexist?
How long i can have the maxxima in the way i do?
Any suggestions?

They can't live together...he will continue to pick on it if re-introduced. Unfortunately, you will have to pick between the fish or the clam. Sorry :(

Thank you peabody, That is what i imagine.
But i m going to keep my cooperband in the main tank and have the maxima in the sump.:)
