Thought I would tell you that I have a maxi mini anemone that is hosting my 2 ocellaris clowns by no choice. I had my anemone in the tank before I purchased my clowns. When I first purchased the clowns, they stayed way away from the anemone knowing what the danger could be. As the clowns started to grow bigger they became braver and started swimming around it and eventually living on the underside of it. Then they started to rub around the edges for a long time. Now, for the last 3 weeks they are literally rolling in it! Needless to say the anemone does not like it at all. My maxi-mini has went from a beautiful 6 inch beauty to around a 3 inch unhappy anemone. These maxi-mini are not natural host for clowns which I knew when I purchased my anemone. I have another reef tank with 5 maxi-mini in it and a mcosker wrasse swam right into it after some food and got stuck on the anemone tenatcles, I reached in and pulled the wrasse out but it was to late, he was already in a state of shock and never made it through. Thought I would share this story with you all.
