Maximizing water flow?

In my 120g (150x80x50h) Sps tank I have 3x6105 with controller. All three are on the rear glass, two on one side, the other on the opposite side, pointing opposite direction towards center of tank. What cycle is best to maximize water flow throughout the mixed reef tank for my corals? Currently I use interval 1 with a time interval of about 40 sec, all pumps switching from min to max pulse every 1.5 sec. Sometimes I use interval 2 with same set up - cannot figure out which is best. What do you advise?

On a side note...I noticed that when using interval 1, the 2 pumps on one side never switch on concurrently, there is always a 10-15 seconds delay even though they are on connected to same channel. I always had this problem, even with prior controller. Is it a bug or by design?

I might use a longer pulse, maybe 3 seconds, 1.5 second is so fast the pump can't reach the min and max speed. I would probably only use 2 6105 in Interval 2. I would position them so both are in the back corner aimed to hit the front at about 100-120cm away. I would then use the 3rd pump to target a low flow area or keep it as a back up. I don't think a tank this size needs 3 pumps. If you are set on the 3 pumps the best might be to have all three on the back wall about 40cm apart at a slight angle but all facing the same way and use sequence mode.

The problem you describe with the delay is more likely the pump, it could be the propeller is tight from debris or the motor just has a delay to come on. This is not unusual, some pumps take longer to start.

Roger, thanks for replying - most appreciated. I'll adjust the pulse as per your advise.

What would the benefit of sequence mode be, and what setting would you advise?
