Hello, I have 2 xf150s running on my tank. Have had them for about 2 years. I moved 2 weeks ago so relocated the tank... wouldn't you know that after I did that one of the gyres dies on my a week later. Have never had an issue with either of them and I pull them every few months to soak and clean. Well the one that died had the red blinking light, I took it apart and soaked for hours in vinegar. Everything seemed to move fine, nothing broken inside or anything. Put back together, can hear motor buzzing but no movment. I even took apart again down to just motor block to see if the motor was spinning at all... nothing. Im assuming this means the motor block died???? I did go ahead and order a new one last night from coralvue for 70 bucks. I hope that's the issue?

What do you think? Anyone had this happen?

Did you remove the magnet shaft from the block? IME, something as small as a grain of sand can cause it problems.

When I clean mine I tear them down as far as they will go and go over everything. You do need to be very careful to keep the parts oriented correctly. I do them one at a time, and even do left side then right side then motor block just to be sure they're assembled correctly.
