Maxspect Razor

Anyone using one of these? I'm thinking about buying one, but want to hear from someone that uses them.

I looked at those but went with reefbreeders photon. Read pretty every 5hing good about their lights and customer service. Cant beat price for controlable unit. Should get it in 1-2 weeks

Love these lights! I wish I had ordered them from the start. I think it's the best value/$ out-of-the-box fixture you can get. No hidden costs (two mounting options and controller built in), Full Spectrum, and priced right. I have both the 160w (largest) and the 60w (nano), very strong lights!

I really like the 160w I have. One of the reasons I bought mine is programmability of them. Most lighting used like MH or T5's are either completely off or full on. With the Maxspect You have set points throughout the day for different light percentages. One channel is set for the white / other led's & the other is for the blue led's. I set mine to mimic the sun, turns on at 5%, ramps up to 30%, then down to 5%, then the white shuts offs, blue only for the last hour. Visually they make the tank look different than say T5's, having the 10K or 16K spectrum is personal preference as well.

I have 2 over my 190. The light is great, the only downside is not being able to control them with an Apex.

Also, value-wise I don't think you can beat it.

I have 2 160, and I am also using the econo reefbreeders. I like the reefbreeders and you can't beat the price for what they are. But I love my maxspect. 2 more are in the future

I have a 160w over my 90P ADA (glorified 40br) and it's been a great light. Compared to the 250w Radium I'm running over the other tank with shared water, I'm getting better color and growth on lps/softies and better color on some sps (similar on others) but slower growth on SPS.

I think it's an awesome light and would repurchase in a heartbeat. Lack of control via Apex isn't that big of a deal to me considering the price-point and 6-time points.
