Maxwells reef video June 2016

Matt
I will post them when I find how to or just photograph them, basically it was to dose boron, strontium and iodine they were well down so I used triton stuff and for the fine adjustments added the coral system 1 and 2 and I need to pick up the no 4 one.I have not used any of these before but after 2 weeks it was amazing all the coral colours improved and looking great.I had a wild piece next to the bali slimer that was just brown for 10 months it's going a nice blue purple and looks great.the PH is now rock solid both day and night with a very slight deviation. The green tops are back on the FF really pleased with it.

Definitely seems to be working for you. The tank looks amazing!!

Hi
Thanks , this is my second tank, this one is approx 18 months old i did transfer a few corals over and then added a load of frags the last being 2months ago. The growth has been tremendous but i was not happy with the colour which was down to faulty equipment.Having set the start point with the ICP test and bringing all the elements up to there recommendations i am now seeing the best colours and growth as per my pics(no enhancement as i tell it as it is).I started with the principle of not to add things willy nilly and go off the tests due to lack of experience but im getting pulled into adding this and that but just going to leave it.I do not frag except breakages so see how it grows and there is already battles between corals but thats what happens in nature.I have posted the full ICP test results in another thread by szathmary that may interest you. Thanks for looking and your comments

Thanks for the comments i was a bit surprised with the corals colouring up like they have just by increasing some elements ,the blue/purplish tip coral had no colour it went from brown to dark green but had lots growth now its one of my favorites.I just missed a frag of a pink lemonade ??? on an auction by 1GBP sick as a parrot it was a darker colours than the ones i have seen on line and would have been interesting to see it grow.

Bill

Hey Bill, those top downs were really nice.
Your tank is really doing well.
Nice job!
Where are your nutrients sitting these days?

Matt
I will be sending another icp off in a couple weeks so I will post the report.I have managed to get the pink lemonade sourced so will be ordering tom oz as he wants some of the forest fire large frags (he's a dealer).I already have a large colony that I was told was a lemonade it's light blue with solid blue and yellow tops coming through.

ICP Test Aug 2016

Matt
This was the last ICP test i followed the recommendations to add things.

Hi
Anybody got an id on this coral it came to the supplier as a pink lemonade but its very dark i have ordered one so would appreciate any idea's.

thanks Bill

Bill, polyps color and morphology, looks like it could be a lemonade.
What makes me skeptical is the "skin's" color.
I would expect it would look brown, even if stressed. Not so dark and purple? if my eyes don't fool me.

Just my guess bud...
I'd buy it anyway:p
