May be forced to get out of the hobby, humidity/heat problems!

Dehumidifiers do add a lot more heat. I have it set up in the doorway between both rooms. I think a fan in the window would be ideal, but I don't know if I can fit a fan in there. Its one of the small basement windows. Another thing is keeping bugs out and still having the window functional, it pulls out into the room to open. So I don't know how installing a fan in there will work. The house does have central AC. The room with the 120g is finished and the room with the 210g isn't, it has the ac duct exposed. I don't want to rip into the duct and I am sure neither do my parents.

Does anyone know of a fan that would work on such a small type of window? Maybe I will try to go to lowes or something, see what they have. I need to install a screen in the window as well, keep bugs out, don't know how this is all going to work. Anyone think a second dehumidifier will help?

I would just go with the fan. Seems like you are shying away from doing any DIY work on the window but I think you are overestimating how much work it will take.

The fan is your best option IMO. Even making a screen is not that hard. I am by far not a great DIY'er, but could do it. Adding a fan, you could use any type of high velocity fan.

I'm definitely a DIY person but keep in mind this isn't my house. I can't mess with anything really, it all has to be professional. I need the window to still function properly yet have a screen and a fan built in. Since the window opens to the inside of the house, I don't know how I'll be able to put a fan in there unless it's outside, which would be a problem. I think I'll have to concert the window to a sliding unit, then I can add a screen on the outside and a fan on the inside.
