May I borrow your brain?

Coral. Hammer is usually good, often in demand, branching type, frags easy. You need good light, calcium feed in ATO.

Will one of those orbit current usa fixtures do the trick? Is that a "good light"?

I am using one on my 36 gallon bowfront and love it. I'm growing a wide assortment of softies and LPS and they are thriving. It's even growing out a piece of SPS that I placed near the very top of the tank a month ago. My hammer coral has gone from 2 heads to 5 heads in a few months time. Here is the exact light I bought.

How about colorful zoas. Many are hardy and grow well and most folks like them. I like to squirt a bit of coral frenzy on them from time to time. It seems to help them grow. Try different spots in your tank to find the one they grow in best.

Thanks for the replys. When it comes to zoas and shrooms, in your experience do lfs want rocks covered with the corals for do they prefer frags?

Also don't forget to use gloves and safety glasses and don't let pets get close enough to take a slurp of the water you are working with. They are cute little flowers, but come armed with high potency protection.

I've read mixed reviews about the curren-usa lights. I want a light that bubble tips will thrive under (given optimum water conditions). I know better than to start with bubble tips, just planning my equipment with the end goal in mind.
