May, June, July Meetings

Now that the April Meeting is done maybe we could get the next 3 months planned(or longer if someone wants to host past these dates). I want to try and get a list of topics and hosts so we can get a schedule down so everyone can make plans to attend. Even if you don't know a topic and just want to host a meeting (show off your tank!) let me or Vicki know and we'll mark it down.
 
Anybody want to have a meeting at their house? This request is coming from the scheduling committee composed of myself (scarson61) and Vicki (Reefdiver77). We are trying to take some of the pressure off of Barrett and other club officers because of the many duties they have to perform (St Jude being a big one) so if anybody is interested in holding a meeting over the next few months let me know. And if anyone wants to Lobby for the right to host a certain month bribes are always welcome.:)
 
Depending on the weather and schedules, I still plan on having a meeting at the Zoo. I would like to do it when the heat and humidity aren't as bad. I was thinking September.
 
Zoo sounds like a great place for a meeting, I forget about having meetings in public places. If anyone else has a good idea for a meeting place maybe we could all vote on a place of interest. So for now we have a September meeting.
 
I will check with the Dive Shop in Memphis. They had a small saltwater tank when I was there last. I know Randall, who runs the shop has tanks at home and was a member of the club at one time. He had agreed to letting us have a meeting there sometime. If so, I would be glad to bring the drinks and snacks.

well im new here and glad to have found this club
was wondering if a meeting could be held after say 6pm or so
i could be able to attend then sence i work every weekend .
 
I'm due for my turn and said something about May at one point.

As it turns out, June would be much easier for me. But if we're stuck for May I can try to rally.

See what you come up with. If someone can cover May, I'll commit to June.

If I need to do May, someone needs to volunteer to come scrape all the coralline off my 55 ..... its really embarassing.

Cathy I would think June would be alright. If we can't find a persons house for May maybe we could have it at a restaurant or Shelby’s Farms (Don't know much about the place so someone can fill me in) I'd say if we have it late we have it on Sat night so those of us who have to travel an hour or more to get to the meetings have a day of recovery. If someone knows of a neat good meeting place throw some suggestions out there.

tank maintenance!! now that is an idea. I think everybody would have it at their house if you got free tank maintenance.
 
Yeah ... that's making it sound more attractive.

May is wild. The weekend of the 19th is Memorial Weekend, right? Kids get out of school that week and have finals.

Next weekend is the last weekend before we send my oldest off to China for 7 weeks.

June is good .... kids out of school .... I can make them scrape coralline.

What is the date for May you need someone to host and what time do you need it. I'm new and maintance would be great. Wanted to see if it was possible for me to host it.
