may meeting work shop, DIY kalkreactor

salreus,
I am not sure that the Kent Valve will work with this setup. I currently use the valve for RO water top off. I was stating that I will have to change to something different.

A kent valve can be used to top off the fresh water container, but not to restrict the reactors out put.

Time is running short on these, if anyone wants in and has not paid please contact cward to make arrangements.

yeah, I was wanting two. One for the fresh water containter that would feel the reactor. and the other one I would use for the containter I use for my water changes. I don't really want to wait around for 30" gal of water to fill. I have had water overflow on more than one occassion. This is when it was a freshwater set up. not a saltwater set up.

what volume could this setup replace, i lose a lot out of my 350....

I think the volume capacity is primarily a function of your feed mechanism and the amount of kalkwasser required (refills). I use a comparable unit (Geo) on my system and it works very well. I'm not certain of my evaporation rate but I have a fair amount on a total volume of 800+ gallons. I use a LitreMeter to power mine. The two combined are very slick.

can't decide if I should go for the DIY reactor, or suck it up and get the actual GEO reactor. I have 2 GEO skimmers, and one GEO calc reactor.

Alright, was talking to someone today about getting the 88gl.... I was debating on attempting a xfer from the 30gl to 88gl but decided not to do it....I would still have to spend more $$$ to upgrade on the sump - pumps - skimmer -etc.... I was suggested to getting as good a skimmer as I could get, and I have seen that GEO Skimmers are highly pumped up on the forms....so may I ask what would it cost for a GEO that would be good for my 88gl, along with a Calcium Reactor. I just want the best

This is the last day to sign up for the work shop.
We also want it to be clear that you do not have to build a reactor to attend the meeting, everyone is welcome.

wow, 25 people! How large are these meetings? This will be my frist. How long do they usually last? Is this expected to last longer because it will be a workshop?

We usually have between 20-30 people at the meetings, and they usually last a couple of hours.
Look forward to seeing you there.

So is there gonna be any frags for swaping/purchase at the meeting? I am in the market for SPS since I am starting my tank back up from a recent crash and lost all but 4 sps's.
