maybe a dumb question

One of the things that I am trying to figure out through out the whole set up of the reef system is which components will work with / be enhanced by a Neptune apex controller, which I don't have yet. As an example regarding an automatic water change (one liter out, one liter in 5 times a day) should I go with a BRS 50cc/minute doser that is turned off and on by the controller and time on will determine the volume, or a bubble magnus with adjustable rate control and calibration, which will probably always be on and the controller will not control. I am not sure if the BRS can be calibrated so the pump volume into the system matches the volume out. I am also not sure if rate of flow can be controlled on the bubble magnus by the Apex controller.

The vortech...I have an MP 60 can be controlled and the modes changed via the Apex...is this correct?

I am beginning to think I should just get the controller and then start filling in the peripherals.

Any thoughts... what are you using the apex for and just as importantly to me what specific components is it controlling (brands)

Thanks for your time and help

You could adjust the on time for each dosing pump to keep them close to the same flow rate. Water levels that you make the pumps work with will no doubt, impact each pumps flow rate...

To control the Vortech, you will need a WXM module added to the base Apex package. It is really nice to be able to control your pumps based on feed timers, time of day and day or night, etc.
