So, a bit of background...I had a 175 bowfront tank with sump setup 12 years ago before I moved to my current place. Had this for a good few years successfully till I parted out the system due to moving. Time to get back in...
I am looking at purchasing a complete 300 gal setup with everything in the tank. I would need to go several hours to get this tank and all the occupants. I have the truck. I have the trailer. I plan to get a food grade cube to transport the water, at least a good chunk of it. So my questions...
1) Beyond the aeration issues of transportation of fish, is there anything else I need to know going long distance? FYI- will be crossing a state line.
2) Refilling the tank with the same water should cut down on spikes, right?
3) I know to leak test the system after assembly. Other than this and temperature leveling, am I forgetting anything? It's been a while since I assembled a system.
4) Am I insane for buying a complete system vs creating a new setup?
